BOOK WEEK - 2022
Book Week celebrates Australian children’s literature and promotes the value of books for the education, enjoyment and enlightenment of children. Across Australia children, educators and families are invited to take part in Book Week between the 20th-26th August. This year’s theme of Dreaming With Eyes Open…. encourages children to go on a journey into the world of stories, to see where they travel to in their imagination with characters, dream what they would like to be and discover the Dreaming with First Nations stories. The possibilities are endless when we dream with our eyes open. This term in Library classes we are reading the books that are shortlisted by the CBCA for Book Week. Discussions and activities will be centred around these fantastic books. The students also have time to borrow books for home during their class. |

At St Ita’s we will be celebrating Book Week and our dress up day will be on Monday 22nd August. There is plenty of inspiration online for book characters and dressing to the theme. I have attached a few links also. |
