Principal's Messages
“Faith in the future - I have come that they may have life and have it to the full."
This year’s theme for Catholic Education Week, “Faith in the future - I have come that they may have life and have it to the full,” is a combination of a quote from John’s Gospel and the theme for the bicentennial celebrations of Catholic education in Australia.
Catholic Education Week is an opportunity for all members of a school community to consider the call of the Gospel to build the Kingdom of God here and now.
I encourage everyone involved in Catholic education to contribute to one another’s growth and journey towards the fullness of life.
“During Catholic Education Week we are reminded that Jesus is the good shepherd who invites us to be the best people we can be. In all we do in Catholic schools, we strive to help each person experience the love of God, thus enabling them to live life fully,”
“This year’s theme serves as an invitation to focus on the unconditional love of God and how this love is demonstrated throughout our lives, in our academic and spiritual pursuits. We have been created to be fully human, fully alive and able to participate in the life and love of God.
“The theme also reflects the core purpose of Catholic education, which is to provide an education that enables our students to make a meaningful contribution to the world, and enable them to enter into a life-giving relationship with God.
“I hope that staff, students, families and Parishes enjoy this special time and that our schools continue to be harmonious places where children are able to reach their full potential.
“Catholic Education Week is a highlight of the year for the Diocese of Sale, as the broader Catholic education community comes together to celebrate our Catholic identity and unique mission,”

PRINCIPAL MESSAGE
Thank you to all the families that attended our assembly last week and Cross Country. It was great to see parents back on the school site and hope this can continue with this Friday's Foundation BBQ. (Please check important information for more information)
I would also like to annouce that we will return to running our P&F Meetings and School Board Meeting on school site starting next Term.
Parents and Friends
The St Ita’s Parents and Friends Association (P&F) promote the interests of the school through a range of fund raising, social and other activities to enrich the school community.
We believe that involving parents and families within the school and its decision making adds a wide range of benefits to the school students, teachers and families.
How you can be involved
The P&F plays a very important role in contributing to the running of the school fundraisers, helping out at school events, providing direction for Parents with issues or concerns.
All Parents are automatically members of the P&F.
We would like to encourage anyone who has any ideas, suggestions or feedback to come along to one of the meetings and help us build a stronger, closer community of parents, friend’s, teachers and students. Minutes are taken at these meetings and discussed at the school board by the P&F representative.
We know that all parents are busy with family committments and the availability to attend meetings might be tough. So feel free to get in contact with the school that could pass on your suggestions. The P&F will meet twice a term in the staff room with leadership -this is a great opportunity to ask questions or raise opinions about school activities, fundraising for St Ita’s, social events and ideas to enhance the school community.
The School Board
The St It's Advisory Board works in an advisory capacity to the Principal, to oversee policy development, financial management, pastoral care of staff, parents and students, capital development and maintenance planning.

Parents can nominate for a two year term once vacancies become available.
