In library lessons we have been listening to stories, reading, browsing, borrowing and talking about our reading.

The Grade 3s and 4s have been learning about some Australian authors, learning how to use the St Ita’s online library catalogue and preparing a book talk. Please encourage and support your student at home with reading as they will continue to share their home reading in library lessons. Reading to your child as well as listening to them is so important. Keep it up!

In Grade 1 and 2 we have been summarising our read aloud stories each week. We have shared so many engaging books. I hope you have enjoyed the books they have been borrowing to read with you.

In Foundation we have been making connections with the stories we have been reading. This week they drew a picture in response to the story, Annie to the Rescue. They are now allowed to borrow up to 2 books.
